We started Wild Surrey in the Spring of 2021  when we came to the conclusion that it was time to pursue our passion and show people the wildlife of Surrey. Our aim is to inspire a love of nature, Surrey and it's precious wild spaces and to encourage people to engage with it. Our walks and tours are suitable for nature novices as well as seasoned naturalists and whatever your interest or level of expertise we will do our very best to accommodate you. We keep our groups small, personal, low impact and  we show the utmost respect for the habitats that we visit. Our walks are a slow pace and while occasionally hilly, are not challenging and are easily within the capabilities of almost everybody. We are keen to encourage an interest in natural history in younger people and particularly welcome family groups on our tours.

I am Chris Wilkinson and I am the founder and primary leader of Wild Surrey.  I have a lifelong passion for nature and have been watching birds and wildlife in the UK and all around the world for many years. I have lived in Surrey for 25 happy years and know it very well. I am looking forward to meeting you and showing you some of the wilder corners of our lovely county.
