In late June I received a message form a friend to let me know an orchid had been discovered in Kent that had not been seen in the UK before - The Long-lipped Tongue Orchid. A close relative of the Greater Tongue Orchid that hand on at a single site in Essex, this orchid had to be seen. The following day I followed the directions to the site and quickly found the plant. There were 2 spikes and they were both in good condition. I took a few pics and headed off to a site near Folkestone to seek out the rare Dew Moth. After much searching I managed to see 1 only hunkered down against the stiff onshore breeze.
